Photo Mechanic: Version 5 Build 13764
« on: February 20, 2013, 04:02:32 PM »
Hello everyone,

This release build fixes a number of issues present in build 13645 and adds some enhancements:

Both:
√ You can now use the 'W' key to add a photo to the selected set in the Preview window.
√ Save As TIFF: fixed some problems with writing TIFF files depending on the length of metadata fields. http://forums.camerabits.com/index.php?topic=8141.0
√ Fixed a problem when working with locked files (on camera cards or hard drives but the problem was discovered by users who were editing on the card) that would keep soft-edits like tags, color classes, and ratings from sticking. http://forums.camerabits.com/index.php?topic=8169.0
√ Holding down the Shortcut key (Option on Mac, Shift on Windows) while clicking on the Save, Upload & advance button (it changes to Upload Options) will now consistently show the Uploader UI.
√ Setting constrained crops with unusual ratios (e.g. 6.5 x 4.15) now works much better.
√ Find/Find & Replace field names now show their customized labels. http://forums.camerabits.com/index.php?topic=8198.0
√ Daylight Savings Time is now used to adjust GMT offsets in times generated on your computer. http://forums.camerabits.com/index.php?topic=8209.0
√ Added Close button to Save As dialog.
√ Olympus maker note parsing enhancements:
   fixed handling of focus mode
   added support for flash mode
added support for flash exposure compensation
   added support for white balance
added support for sharpness level setting

Mac:
√ Previews should no longer show small thumbnails while the cache produces the final result preview image.  http://forums.camerabits.com/index.php?topic=8171.0
√ Preview now has its own mouse scroll wheel sensitivity.  If you're having problems scrolling through previews with your scroll wheel, adjust your sensitivity in the Preview section of the Preferences dialog. http://forums.camerabits.com/index.php?topic=8226.0
√ Option-X now clears a crop in the Preview window.

Windows:
√ Using the Keywords and Structured Keywords panels in the Preview window is much more useful since the main Contact Sheet window no longer comes forward after each keyword is applied.
√ Performance improvements on Navigator.  Less flickering, quicker updates on Network shares.  Added ability for user to logon to password protected shares.
√ Shift-X now clears a crop in the Preview window.
