Find dialog no longer accepts terms separated by Return
« on: April 01, 2013, 08:02:39 AM »
... only separated by space. It used to accept terms separated by carriage return.
This is important, since Photo Mechanic's export creates exactly this format - separated by carriage return.

It's a single line text field.  You can't see the other lines.  While this may be a problem for you, it causes so many support calls in other areas of the application that we had to restrict single line text fields from receiving multiple lines of text.

Perhaps we could change the Find/Find and Replace dialogs to have multi-line text fields, but we're not in general going to go back to having single line text fields receive multiple lines of text.

I understand. And I can adapt, no problem.

I that case I would love to see the export dialog having a switch to set it to something like
"export in single line" and carriage return as a variable.

That way Photo Mechanic can eat what it exports.  :)
