Support for Lens-Description and others on Canon EOS M
« on: April 03, 2013, 09:06:49 AM »
Hi Kirk and Team!

Today I received the Canon EOS M and PM (latest version) on Mac OS 10.8.3 does not show the Lens-Descriptionand other values (white balance, etc) for RAW and JPG files.
The EOS M can be used with the EF-M lenses as well (with an adapter) with the "normal" EF-Lenses.
Exiftool shows all data well.

Please find a JPG out of the cam attached.
RAW will be too large for the forum.

Kirk,

short update: After editing images the Lens is shown correctly.

Before:
Cam:     Canon EOS M
Lens:
Focus:
Mtring:   `Aperture Priority` `multi-segment`
Comp:     0.0ev off
Capture:   44mm f/5.6 1/4" ISO100
WB:

After:
Cam:     Canon EOS M
Lens:       EF-M18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS STM
Focus:
Mtring:   `Aperture Priority` `multi-segment`
Comp:     0.0ev off
Capture:   44mm f/5.6 1/4" ISO100
WB:

The other informations are missing but visible with exiftool.
Do you need a RAW sample?

BR
Sven
