Ingesting images from memory card.

I have just added OSX 10.8.2 to my Mac and when I go to ingest  images from my D300 memory card all the images on the card are ingested even though I have ticked on... Incremental Ingest: copy new photos only. I have attached a screen shot for reference. Any suggestions on how to solve this problem?

Had you previously done an Incremental Ingest and then shot some more pictures?
Is your card write-protected?  (Don't know what kind of card you're using or if it offers such a feature.)
Did you format your card after your last Ingest?  (That will wipe out the data file PM uses to identify your card and Incremental Ingest won't work.)

How old is the card?  Do you always reformat the card in the camera before you use it again?

Try unmounting the card and mounting it again, then try the Ingest again.

If it still fails, try copying the files with your OS (Finder on Mac, Windows Explorer on Windows).  If that fails, get some image recovery software.

Cards do go bad over time.  They have a finite lifespan.

Only just seen your reply, sorry Kirk. It's a good memory card so no problem there. Nothing will ingest with PM5 on my Windows PC so I guess there's a setting problem within PM5 preferences somewhere.

I suggest resetting your preferences then.  See this post for instructions on how to reset preferences on Windows:

Many thanks Kirk. I couldn't sort out the problem but have found the only solution possible - by unstalling P/M5 & re-installing P/M 4.6.9. Appreciated the support.
