Vertical text watermarks
« on: May 05, 2013, 10:32:49 PM »
Hello,

I'm experimenting with the watermarking option in the 'Save As' routine. It works very well (congrats) but I can't see a way to make the the text run vertically rather than horizontally. I'd prefer that for my pictures that are in portrait format.

Is this possible?

TIA,

Roger

Roger,

The watermark text is only rendered horizontally.

Roger,

as an alternative you can use a transparent PNG-file.

I seem to be having an issue with the text watermarking right now. For whatever reason the text won't show up, no matter the opacity setting. Any reports of this Kirk?

Hi Chris!

Would you mind posting a screenshot of your watermark-settings?
Where do you want to add the watermark? During the upload or "save as"?

No.

What version and build of Photo Mechanic are you running?  What OS are you running it on?  Can you provide a screenshot of your settings?  Use the 'Attachments and other options' link when you're composing your reply to this message and there you'll be able to upload your JPEG format screenshot.

Thanks,

-Kirk

I'm now using uMark (see http://www.uconomix.com), which offers portrait and landscape modes. The full version isn't free but there's a 15-day free trial of it. There are versions for Windows and Macs.
