Unable to render
« on: June 16, 2013, 05:47:19 AM »
When I try to zoom a particular bunch of photos I get what is shown in the image attached.

These photos are jpeg from a photo CD I got made from Fromex a generic online photo service.

This is the first time I have used them and not sure why I would get such a message from what I assume would be a very normal workflow on their part.

I can see the images in proof mode.

For now, I can only assume that the images are in fact not jpgs, but some other (unsupported) file format. Can you open the images just fine in e.g., Photoshop?

Perhaps you could upload a sample image here as well so we can have a look at it.

Hmm, this image renders fine in my version of PhotoMechanic. Is this really an image from your CD? It's only 640 wide, quite small and has no meta data attached either.

Hayo,

That can't be the actual image referenced in the earlier screenshot.  That one was quite large, both in megapixels and in file size compared to the sample that was uploaded.

You are right, of course. The image in the screenshot is 13MB though, so if they are all that big, I think he needs to upload a sample to your ftp server instead (but then I can't have a look at it).
