PM cancels shutdown on OS X

I run PM 5 Build 13915 on OS X 10.8.4

On both my laptop and my desktop it frequently happens that PM cancels system shutdown. A message will pop up telling me that the application Photo Mechanic could not be quit and therefore system shut down has been aborted.

Is there a way to fix this?

Does it only happen if you have a Contact Sheet open or even when there isn't?

If i remember correctly it also happens when no contact sheet was open. I will observe this closer.

Kirk, the reason why I actually don't close PM (and a few other programs) before I shut down is that I really like OS X' feature to automatically load all programs that ran at shutdown. I boot from a SSD and the whole process is so quick, even when additional programs are starting, that I see it as a great convenience.

I'm running OS X 10.8.4.   When I set Photo Mechanic 5 to NOT ask you if you're sure you want to quit, then it didn't interfere with an OSX shutdown even when a Contact Sheet was Open.

In Photo Mechanic > Preferences > Accessibility...

Make sure "Ask when quitting Photo Mechanic" is unchecked.
