I am a LR5 user and trialling PM

WHen I ingest from a card which has more than one shoot on it, all images come into one window.

Hi Henry!

For ingesting you have 2 options: Disk or Folder.
There is no default way to select individual images or a range of images to be ingested.

When you have several shoots on you card I would suggest to create an individual folder in the camera and shoot into them. When you open the ingest dialog, switch to ingest folders and select your folder within the memory card.

You also can ingest the whole card by "Ingest Disk" and do no modifications that are specific to the individual job (caption, location, etc). All images will be placed into a single folder. After that you can select the images per job in PM and with COMMAND-Y you can copy / move them to a desired folder.

Hope that helps
Sven
After 5 years of absence I restarted the photography.

Hi, David
You can also use dated folders for the ingest or use the option "copy photos into dated folder then folder with name".

I use variables to sort ingested images into dated folders that also include the specific assignment name. I pick "into folder with name" and then have this in the blank:

{iyr2}{imn0}{idy0}-AssignmentName
