PM 15077 no longer able to crop
« on: November 18, 2013, 04:21:17 PM »
Kirk,

The ability to crop no longer works on my setup Win 7 64bit running 15077.

I tried various crop setups but it just disappears.

Any ideas?.
David

Perhaps you could tell me more about your particular situation since cropping is working fine for most everyone.

What kind of files are you cropping?  What camera are they from?

I'm sorry Kirk, cropping is now working this morning.

Must be my PC or me.

Kirk,

This cropping problem has returned for me. I have just applied the crop box to 30 images of score sheets and time clocks and the crop marks have remained on the images but when I've gone to the next image to apply the same free crop it does not stick.

I have tried everything to use the crop again including restarting the PC but without any success. All 30 crops have worked with the original NEF files being deleted leaving the small jpegs in their place. Normally I would apply this crop to around 150 scoreboards, clocks or scoresheets per day.

The attached picture shows a sticking crop mark and then the clock that does not hold the crop mark. I have mentioned this before along with one or two others but I have only experienced it with v15077.

I am running Win 7 64bit.

Any ideas on how to rectify this?

Kirk,

I need to clarify this. I am able to crop the score sheets but not the clocks as shown in the sample pictures. That clock is the first clock picture. As I retried it on the later score sheets just now it works okay. I have tried all the later clocks and still the same problem

Interestingly I have tried in on the judo pictures and it is working.

I would be happy to send you the whole folder of 7.8gb as a download link from a server. I could send it overnight if that will help.

David,

Can you please post a screen shot of your Preferences window for the IPTC/XMP section.

Kirk,

I have tried it on various folder using what are normally bright score clocks and occasionally it will work but the majority of the time the crop will not stay on the clock.

To help you further the attached picture shows a clock on the left that cannot be cropped and a very large board that can be cropped as you can see from the retained crop marks.

I hope this helps.

Kirk,

Have you managed to replicate the problem?

I am still unable to crop clock pictures taken on the 24th November. However, pictures of clocks that do not have a bright edge can be cropped.

The four clock pictures included here show that the two right hand clocks can be cropped whereas the two on the left cannot be cropped.

The fault appears to revolve around the clocks on the left having a bright edge.

I would be happy to send the four images to you as NEFs. Would you be happy with that?

I'm able to see this happening on your NEF file, we're looking into it.
