GPS coordinates in stationary pad
« on: January 16, 2014, 05:34:47 AM »
For locations I visit often, I would like to set a stationary pad with the GPS co-ordinates already entered.

But, I cannot find the appropriate field. I have looked at accessibility in preferences, to see if I can add it, but there doesn't seem to be one.

I assume I am missing the obvious, so could someone point me in the right direction.

PM5 (15077) on Mountain Lion

Many thanks,

Graham

Hi Graham!

As far as I know there is no field in the stationary pad for GPS-Data.
You can add you frequent locations in the "Image => Set GPS Coordinates..." menu via the bolt-icon.

Select all images go to the menu listed above, select the location via the bolt (or add a new one) and then "Apply to All"

I use the method explained by Sven but would like to see a place for GPS coordinates in the stationary page also.  I have several stationary pages saved under the bolt for frequent situations including locations. If the GPS coordinates could be included also it would save going through a second series of steps to assign coordinates, and, yes, I have frequently used coordinates saved under the bolt so it's only a few clicks but still another series of steps.

Woodie,

as I am also a big fan of your suggestion I opened up a new feature request.
Please find it here: http://forums.camerabits.com/index.php?topic=8890.0

But as the Catalog have higher priority I assume it will take a while to be implemented.
Sven

EDIT: GPS-Coordinates could also been implemented together with the User/Client dialog. As I am storing the frequent locations there it would also be a benefit.
As there are already several variables 2 (or 4) could be created. (ClientLatitude / ClientLongitude / UserLatitude / UserLongitude)

I'll happily make a few extra clicks to add GPS data if it means a catalog gets here sooner!
