« on: January 30, 2014, 05:02:04 PM »
Hello Everyone,

We have a new updated build that solves a number of issues present in the 15077 build.  Please see below for the notes.

Windows:

PM5 Build 15277 Log

Windows:
√ Fixed a problem where double clicking below the list of find results in Structured Keywords would cause a crash: http://forums.camerabits.com/index.php?topic=8833.0
√ Fixed a problem where pressing the Alt key in the IPTC Stationery Pad dialog would cause a crash: http://forums.camerabits.com/index.php?topic=8871.0
√ Fixed a problem in the handling of color profiles when using Photo Mechanic on multiple monitors.
√ Added preliminary Gesture support for Windows Surface tablets.  You can now pan the Contact Sheet and Zoomed previews with your finger or the stylus.
√ Fixed a problem that would cause a parent folder of any folder currently open in a Contact Sheet to fail to open.
√ The color management toolbar button in the Preview window now toggles its state correctly.

Mac:
√ Autocomplete now functions like the earlier 13915 release.  The specific difference was that if there was text immediately to the right of the cursor, Autocomplete would not engage.  It did in the earlier 13915 build and once again does so in this build.
√ Fixed a problem with font handling in the open source library used by the Slide Show where a damaged or bad font would cause the Slide Show to hang.
√ Info Text area of GPS Map browser was hard to read on darker UI setting.  The color scheme has been changed to match other areas of the UI.
√ Finder Sidebar favorites added on Mac OS X 10.9 should now show up in PM's Navigator.

Both:
√ Made significant improvements in the responsiveness of the Contact Sheet and Preview window when images are loading, especially noticeable on data sources that are slow (USB cards, NAS shares, CD/DVD drives).  Images don't load significantly faster, but the UI is much more responsive and does not lag behind your scrolling/selection inputs.
√ Made significant improvements in the speed of resuming Photo Mechanic after using a different app.  The speed improvement is especially noticeable on network volumes.
√ Enabling Auto Ingest when the preference for handling mounted camera cards is not set to open the Ingest dialog now prompts the user and offers to make the settings change for them.
√ Double-clicking on any of the widgets in the Preview window (tag, sound, rating, color class) no longer closes the Preview window.
√ Orphaned WAV files represented by proxy will now show a sound playback button and can be played in the Contact Sheet and the Preview window.
√ The common rename string used by Rename, Copy/Move, and Save As is only made persistent when renaming is set to be performed.  This solves the issue where a snapshot is loaded with a custom renaming string which isn't visible because renaming is turned off and when the dialog is closed or the operation is performed it would have the side effect of changing the common renaming string unexpectedly.
√ Cache elements are preserved on file / folder rename, eliminating unnecessary image reloads.
√ Changed the wording of the Renaming Resolution setting in the Files section of the Preferences dialog.  The two settings that always add digits will only add digits when necessary or when renaming is being performed.
√ The case sensitivity checkbox in the custom Find/Replace panel now works as expected.
√ Find and Replace panels now show a message when nothing was found/replaced.
√ Find and Replace now waits for metadata to be fully loaded when searching.
√ Fixed a problem with file names containing URL encoded sequences not showing up and rendering completely.
√ Fixed a hang that would occur when images were dismissed and the import button was clicked in the Import GPS Coordinates dialog.
√ Fixed a problem with setting the rating of a thumbnail with the mouse on large contact sheets.
√ Sort Cache data is now purged and metadata is refetched on a background thread when a rescan of a contact sheet's folder finds that a file is newer than last seen.
√ Added improved support for the Olympus Stylus 1 and OM-D E-10 cameras.
√ PM no longer produces an error when viewing or ingesting DNG files from the DJI Phantom 2 UAV.
√ Fixed a problem with draft crops not being saved for RAW files (when the embedded preview doesn't represent the full RAW file).
√ Fixed a problem with crops not being saved in NEF files for certain Nikon FX models when the camera is set to DX mode.
