PM service V5 - problem (RESOLVED)
« on: March 16, 2014, 02:25:08 AM »
Hello;

I am attempting to activate the PM service so that the finder window is populated with the photo mechanic shortcut.   This works perfectly in an older version pf PM

For some reason it will not work.  I have copied the icon to the correct folder.

What can I do to have this work correctly?  Thank You,   WilloW

Have you tried restarting your system or relaunching the Finder?  Are you seeing the menu item when you right-click a folder in the Finder?

Hello KIrk

Thank you for your reply.

Yes, I have restarted the system and yes it is in the finder menu box, but does not open PM or an image.

After installing V5 I removed the older PM version (4.6.8. I think) - perhaps this made a difference (not sure).   I am using snow leopard 10.6.8.  Best,   WilloW

OK, then try holding down the Option key when you choose the menu item and then pick the Photo Mechanic 5 application when the file picker dialog appears.

Hi Kirk

Now that's new to me.....and something I did not know

Everything seems to work OK now.  Images can open by right clicking.

Thank you for your time and expertise Kirk.  The unparallelled support is one aspect of PM that is beyond reproach.   Cheers,   WilloW
