Fuji RAF files and IPTC
« on: March 26, 2014, 10:24:18 AM »
I am struggling to apply the IPTC stationary pad to my RAF files.

Please could you suggest settings which will help me with this.

Thanks.

Perhaps you could tell me more about what is happening?  And tell me about what version of Photo Mechanic you're using and what OS you're running Photo Mechanic on?

I am running PM 5, build 15419 (aa634dd).  My OS is Apple Mavericks 10.9.2.

I ingest in the usual PM way.  I have checked Apply IPTC Stationary Pad.  I rename as Location_{datesort}_{foldernum}_{frame4}

This is all as I normally do this.  I have ingested a card from a D800, making no change to any of the settings, and the IPTC information is there as normal.

Preview shows the normal information for both rats and nefs.

I find that I can see the IPTC Stationary Pad applied on ingest after conversion of the raf to a jpeg (without specifically attaching it to the jpeg), so it is being attached to the raf, but I cannot display it.

Can you post a sample RAF file that you have applied the IPTC Stationery Pad onto and any XMP sidecar file (with the same base file name) if it exists?

Use the 'Attachments and other options' link when you're composing your reply to this message and there you'll be able to upload your samples.  I'd also like to see your IPTC/XMP settings from the Preferences dialog.

Thanks,

-Kirk

Kirk, the forum software will not let me post as it is too large.  Is there another way I can get this to you, e.g. Dropbox?

I'm having problems displaying RAF (x100s) IPTC info following the update to build 15419.

Reverting to the previous version solves problem.

The IPTC info is correctly displayed for JPG and TIFF files.

Cheers
