Cropping, tagging, rating, color labeling, and rotation are all working for me on the 15430 build on my Mac OS X 10.6.8 system.

Tell me more about your system, the kind of files you're working with, and post a screen shot of your IPTC/XMP settings, please.

MAC OS version 10.9.2
Canon Raw files which worked on the previous builds.

nevermind, got it to work.  I rechecked the button to allow raw to be modified.

OK, I'd expect that setting your read order to be XMP sidecar file first would have also solved the problem.
