FTP 530 Error

Hi Kirk,
Just wondering what i doing wrong, never before tried to use PM for FTP sending as have Transmit, but have been changing workflow.
Anyway... Problem i have set up FTP connections with same detaisl as in Transmit (which connects and sends) but PM fails with this error.

any clues ??

Rob,

We suggest opening up a Terminal window and trying to connect like so:

$ ftp hostname.com

(and enter the username / password as prompted)

Where $ is your command line prompt ( you don't enter that part ) and hostname.com is the same server you're using with Transmit.

Does it connect successfully?

If I understand you correctly, when you followed my instructions to use the Terminal window, you were able to connect successfully on each of your servers?

Yes all ok via any other way i try to connect to the servers, just keep getting 530 error with PM

I tried connecting both with PM and the ftp command in the Terminal.  Neither works with the info you sent me.  Please check your login info and send the updated information back to me.
