Code Replacement problem

(1/1)

camerauk:
Hi
I am trying to use code replacement and i'm having the following problem
I use a code like /n3/ this works fine and puts in the information I require but it also adds a \ after the information, how can I stop this happening?
many thanks
Andy

Hayo Baan:
Look like there is a problem with your code replacement file (the \ is very likely there). Can you share it here? Use the attachments and other options to upload it.

Kirk Baker:
Make sure your Code Replacement file is a plain-text file and not some other format like RTF.  Rich Text Files use \ for formatting specifiers and could be the cause.

Hi
Thanks for the help it was a user error  :-[ :-[ I had created the files with Note Pad and it was using RTF format
I have now sorted the problem using Text Wrangler

Many thanks

Andy
