Request: Upload to SmugMug
« on: January 24, 2007, 01:34:16 PM »
Photoshelter is a little pricey for my needs and I just signed up for a SmugMug.com account. Any chance we'll get an Upload to SmugMug.com function?

Here's the API support forum:

Sure.  It will have to wait until some of the other uploaders are implemented first.

I don't recall anyone requesting Printroom before.  Do they have an API?

I had requested it a long time ago - but I just called the tech support & NO they do not have an API.
If that changes I'll let you know.
Thanks

Kirk,

I don't know, but I sent a note to Grover, et al, and I pointed them to this thread.

SportsShooter.com doesn't have an API. You can always upload to a PhotoShelter account, and then export out of PhotoShelter to SportsShooter.com.

Also, there is a free account on PhotoShelter now, the only restriction being a limited amount of disk space, but all the functionality is there. This means that you can have a free account in PhotoShelter and export to SportsShooter.com all you want - and use it to manage your SS.com member page updates.

-Kirk, regarding the SmugMug request posted by Pixout... do you have any kind of estimate for when we might be able to upload to SmugMug?

Sorry no estimate at this time.  It will be after 4.5 ships.

May I ask which uploaders are slated for release with 4.5?  I'm in the midst of choosing an online service.  I just might lean towards any service that PM can directly interface with.

The initial release of 4.5 will have no new uploaders.  I plan for ExposureManager around 4.5.2 and others after that.

I don't think it has been requested.  Do they have an API for uploaders?
