How to add an IPTC data field?

I would like to add an IPTC data field to my captions.

How do I do that?

I am using PM v.4.5.4

You mean that you want to add a custom field that is for your own use, or fill in one of the already existing (standard) fields?

Is there a field where I can add image info like headshot, full length, half length etc?

Perhaps if you could give me more background information on what you're trying to accomplish, then I could be more helpful.  Your version of Photo Mechanic is sorely out of date and is missing more than a dozen new fields that were added in version 5 of Photo Mechanic.
