Rotating images

When I rotate a group of images 90 degrees (jpg ) in PM, The images are not rotated when I open them in Photoshop. It seems that the only PM previews are rotated.

How do I apply this rotation, so the images are rotated when opened in another program?

(PM 5 Mac OSX 10.10.3)

From the Tools menu with your images selected, choose "Apply Rotation to JPEGs:"

For image types other than JPEGs, you'll have to save them to a new file.
