Fuji F20 not showing up on MBP
« on: January 30, 2007, 12:39:51 PM »
Sorry if this is a repeat post (I did a quick search but didn't see anything).

We have a Fuji F20 we loan out to some of our editors when our photographer can't make it to an event and we just got a MacBook Pro (IC2D). When we plug the camera into the computer, iPhoto can see it but Photo Mechanic can't see it. (We have the Mac set to show all hard disks but the disk doesn't show up on the desktop.) Not a huge problem as we can use the camera & PM without any problem on a Mac G5. (We are running the latest version of PM and double-checked the Fuji website for any driver/firmware updates.)

Thanks,
Michelle

What is IC2D?

Unless your camera mounts as a disk on the desktop, Photo Mechanic will not see it.  Can't you use a card reader?  They are more reliable and most times they are much faster than the built-in camera interface.  Moreover they don't use up your camera's batteries at all.

I recommend that you use a card reader.

HTH,

Thanks, Kirk, the card reader worked. We'll use that instead of direct from the camera.

(IC2D - Intel Core 2 Duo processor -- not sure if you needed that specific info but thought it might be helpful).

Thanks again!

No problem.  I have never heard of that acronym before. ;)
