Color management switched on.... strange look
« on: July 28, 2015, 08:03:49 AM »
I am still trying PM on my Win 7/64bit PC, so this is a "presales" question.

Today I switched on color management for thumbnails and previews, and all of them get a cyan tint. Really weird. It's the correct profile. The third image shows the display with color management switched off.

What should I do?

You definitely don't want to use your display's profile for your default profile!

Choose either Adobe RGB or sRGB.  If you know your camera produces images in a particular color space and you have that profile available, choose that profile.

You are right

But with sRGB it's the same.

How did you calibrate your display?  Have you set your calibrated profile in the Displays control panel?

This notebook is a Lenovo Thinkpad W520 with a built-in X-Rite calibrator, I just used the Color Calibrator software that came with the notebook.

Just to check why the problem occured I also used a Squid 3 colorimeter with the Basiccolor calibration software - and now it works. It seems the built-in device is the problem.

So, now it works, thanks for your help.
