CMYK TIFFs look weird!
« on: February 01, 2007, 08:35:59 AM »
When I use PM to browse TIFFs in CMYK mode, man do their colors look wierd.  Extremely contrasty, saturated, with usually a hue shift too.  Is this usual?

I prepare these files for pre-press.

CMYK's color space is device dependent.  Converting CMYK to RGB is an area where we have little expertise.  Our conversion is very simple and the results are not very good.  So is it usual?  Yes, though unfortunate.
