Surface Pro & PM

Hey,

I've recently purchased a Surface Pro and have been using PM on it while I travel. Its running great however some functions can be a bit tedious on the touch side of things. Is anyone else using a surface and have any tips on making it a bit more friendlier for the platform?

Can i create my own buttons on the taskbar? or another way to colour rate images other than keys, like a quick on screen button?

While PM does run on the Surface devices, it is not optimized for usability on them.  It does not offer the ability to add custom buttons for instance.

I use PM on a Surface Pro 3 without too much of a problem. I do have the keyboard cover, however, which makes it more like a conventional laptop. They're an added expense, but well worth it. PM is not the only program you'll run into that is not tailored to a touch-screen.

no worries, just curious what others are doing, i don't have the keyboard cover at this stage just playing as it is. I'll be able to have a better  look at solutions once i'm not on holidays.

just came across this onscreen keyboard program which allows you to create custom keyboard setups - http://hot-virtual-keyboard.com/ - I reckon it will work for me, i'm going to have a play and see if i can create a keypad with the basics for making selects, browsing, etc

I'm using the SP3 as well... I am considering trying something like Dragon for spoke commands. Not sure it it will work or how well and REALLY hoping that PM6 will fully support gestures and touch.

Here is the keyboard panel I created, its purely for flicking through images to make selections and get into editing.

Positioned so i can get to the left/right/1 easily one handed when holding the tablet. Works wel so far, once i'm back at work i'll be able to give it a good field test.
