Full Res embedded JPEG Previews for Sony A7R2 ?

I rented an A7R2 and am trying to view the RAWs in Photo Mechanic. With my 5D3 shooting RAW I would see full res from the embedded JPEG. But with the Sony, I see a 1616x1080 image when I view at the "1" setting in the zoom area of preview mode. Is there a way to make use of my MacBook Pro 15 Retina screen and the A7R2 in Photo Mechanic?

It looks like the Sony cameras do not include a full size preview image in their raw files. A solution would be to 1) enable Mac raw rendering (though I'm not sure OS X already supports the new A7R2), or 2) to convert to dng (and have it produce full sized previews).
