In order for PM to reach it's maximum potential in getting photos captioned, edited and transmitted.
PM needs a select crop option, one click mouse trackpad option and a lighten pic slider.
The reason is that after ingest the system of selecting photos is slowed down by not having these things.
The first thing a tog needs to know before anything is,is the photo sharp enough for publication? That is where the one click mouse or tap on the keyboard comes in a simple tap should zoom in and re tap to some out. Picasa software has such a feature and it is lightening fast and far easier to use than clicking on a separet key on the keyboard.
Then the photo will be cropped nearly always that's because a pro tog shoots wide and crops. The straightening can be done at the same time as the crop and then caption.
So we have now determined we have a sharp photo and have cropped it beacuse we want to use it why else would we crop it. But we now have to remember to tag that photo, therin lies PM's failure this takes time and has to be remembered. All that is required is a select cropped facility so that after the cropping of photos has been done all that is required is to click the select crop and then FTP photos. A big saving in time. With the addition of a lighten pic slider, again like picasa has it would mean no use of additional softwear which basically grinds the job to a halt.
Any of the above additons let alone all of them would speed the process of sending pics off to picture desks immensely.
The whole point of PM is to be fast. It is not lightroom or Photoshop and needs to distance it's self from such snails pace software.
Camera Bits are missinga trick here.
