Location in IPTC

Hi,

This may sound really dumb but I've not used the location in the IPTC yet, does it actually put the location on of where you are shooting & if so what do I do ?

It's a text field like so many other IPTC fields.  You enter your location in the text field.  Does that answer your question?

You can put a latitude and longitude there if you want to, but most other software that is GPS-aware isn't going to be looking there for GPS information.  Most, if not all, GPS-aware programs will be looking for the GPS EXIF tag.  PM can tag your images with GPS info, but it will only put that information in the GPS EXIF tag and not in the "Location" field.
