Color change
« on: August 05, 2016, 11:13:33 AM »
Hello :)
I have a question if someone can help me
I shoot pictures in RAW, and when i zoom in the picture on computer, it takes few seconds to get sharp and then picture change colors. When i go to the next photo and then go back to previous, colors are normal again
I use Canon EOS 100d if that matters
Do any of you have this problem? Thank you :)

In what way are the colors changing?  Can you post a screen shot?  Use the 'Attachments and other options' link when you're composing your reply to this message and there you'll be able to upload your JPEG format screenshot.

Now, if I had to guess, I would say that you're on a Mac, you've turned on RAW rendering via Apple ImageIO and what you're seeing temporarily is the embedded JPEG preview from your RAW file until the actual RAW data is rendered.  The differences in color are due to Apple's RAW rendering technology differences from Canon's in-camera RAW rendering technology.  This is expected.  If you don't like the look of the Apple ImageIO rendered image then you can turn RAW rendering off and you'll only ever see the camera generated embedded JPEG and thus won't ever see these kinds of color changes.  It will also be much faster.

I'd like to see your Photo Mechanic log.  In Photo Mechanic go to the Help menu and choose "Reveal Support Data..." and moments later a Finder window will come forward with the zipped log file selected.  Use the 'Attachments and other options' link when you're composing your reply to this message and there you'll be able to upload your zipped PM log file.

Thanks,

-Kirk

Did you choose the "Reveal Support Data..." command on the Help menu?  A moment later an OS window (Finder on Mac, Windows Explorer on Windows) should come forward and show you the zip compressed PM.log file.
