Sending Pictures via Thunderbird
« on: February 08, 2007, 02:40:30 AM »
Hello Photo Mechanic Users out there,

i have a question about sending pictures via emailProgram Thunderbird. For sending my pictures i will not use outlook Programs from Microsoft. To send my pictures via Thunderbird it is quit tricky. For any sending i just have to open Thiunderbird and copy the mailadress in the adressline from Photo Mechanic. Does anybody have a hint for me to do this in a easier way?
Is it in the next relaes possible to do the sending whith Thunderbird or is there a other Mailprogram that support PhotoMechanic?

Many thanks for the help in advance.

Greetings from the rainy Lake of Constance in Germany

Hello Tom,

I've just tried it with a Demo Version 4.4.3.3 of Photo Mechanic. I use Thunderbird as my default mail application.
I have not found any settings for an email application in PM.

When I select some pictures in a contact sheet and send them via File -> Send Photos via email I get a popup from Photo Mechanic to
enter the images sizes, the mail addresses, subject ... I checked "Review email in email application before sending" and
pressed OK.

With the "flash"-symbol (Save) you can save or load these settings.

Now I get the send window of Thunderbird with addresses, subject and message filled out. The images are shown in
the attachement window.

BTW you can easily ftp photos via File -> FTP Photos as.

I use Windows XP Home.

Regards
Johannes

Thank you Johannes for your information!

I use the Thunderbird Program in the same way.
I guess ther is no other way with Thunderbird to send the pictures.

Have a nice time, and always clear shots!! ;)
