Slow loading 2,500 frames

I'm trying to access a folder with about 2,500 JPEGs and PM is taking a long time to load them. Like it's taken 5 minutes to produce about 10% of the thumbnails. Is this normal? I just downloaded the latest version of PM and I closed and opened, cleared the cache and restarted my PC. Any reason why this might be?

With that amount of jpgs PM should normally be quite quick. On what type of drive are your images located? If they are on a network drive, try moving them to a fixed disk to see if that helps.

Thanks for your reply Hayo. The files are on a local hard drive. They had previously been synced from the cloud - I don't know maybe that had something to do with it. Anyway, not a major issue. I got them in the end. I will keep an eye and see if it happens again. Rich
