error: couldn't send photos to editor application

Hi, I am using Photo Mechanic 5 on my Windows 10 Acer laptop. When I select a group of photos and try to open them in photoshop, I get "error: couldn't send photos to editor application" message. But hey will open up when I try a second time. Any ideas? Thanks

Is your editor application already open?  If not, then PM waits up to 10 seconds for the editor to start up before it gives up on sending the files to it.
