Is it possible to add to the list of Fields in the Search and Find and Replace dialogs? I want to fix a spelling mistake in the Event field.

In Search, no.

In Find and Replace, the lists are drawn up from your IPTC dialog customization.  All fields that are shown in your IPTC Info should be shown in the Find/Find and Replace dialogs.
