IPTC Information display

I am confused about the IPTC information display. In Preferences In “Image>IPTC Stationary Pad …” in the third Group Label “Status” I have a Field Label named “Camera settings” where I have inserted variables {lens} and {lenstype}. But when I display IPTC info for a photo the information for the camera settings variables are at the bottom of the window in a category called “Special Instructions”. What is going on and what can I do to fix it?
