PM6 and MacOS Mojave 10.14.5
« on: May 13, 2019, 01:19:53 PM »
I just upgraded my MacBook Pro under MacOS 10.14.5 and PM6 which was unusable under the last 10.14.4 compared with PM5 looks now a lot faster and on par with PM5.

I will test tomorrow under the same upgrade my MacPro and hope the same good news will applied there also !!!!!!!! It looks as Apple has done the job Kirk was looking for ?????????

I just updated to 10.14.5 on my 2017 15" MacBook Pro and tested PM6 speed vs PM5. While PM6 is nearly usable for me now and is much faster than before it is still considerably slower than PM5. PM6 is now 1-2 images behind when quickly scrolling through previews instead of several images behind.

On the MacPro with a much greater screen (27'') I just finished a test with PM5 and PM6. PM5 still faster but the difference with PM6 has been vastly reduced. PM6 is usable now.....One more effort Apple and they will be on par......But its still a deception to have the new PM slower even by 1 frame............

Also just updated to Mojave 10.14.5 on my iMac 5k 27" and PM6 is now usable not as fast as PM5 but I'm able to scroll through photos at a faster pace now.

Sounds like I am having the same issue on my new iMac. Really disappointed in PM6 performance at the moment. Not sure if it is a PM Software issue or an IOS issue?
