Import only selected files into LR CC

Question about

I installed today an trial version of PM5.

I have a set of 5 RAW (CR2) photos, what i opened in File > Open contact sheet.
2 from the photo?s i give a star, star 3

For editing in Lightroom cc ik will ony import the 3 star photos
In Edit > Selecting > Rating > 3 Stars (those two photos changes from color)

Images > Edith Photos opens Lightroom CC,

In LR only the first photo is selected.

Please can you help me what i do wrong.

I am totaly new wit PM5

Hi there,

Are you talking about Lightroom Classic CC? Or the newer Lightroom CC?  They seem to work very differently.  If you do have the Lightroom Classic CC, you can try to drag multiple images to Lightroom and they will all be selected when Lightroom's import window comes up.

If you are talking about the newer Lightroom CC then I am not sure. I only use that on my mobile devices these days for quick one-offs. Last time I tried it on the desktop I couldn't get it to open files passed from any other program.

Thanks fort he tip, it is not working.
If I only select the star 3 photos and drag them to the lightroom. Are all photos included and none of the 3 photos with a star light up.

Thank you Mick for this video... this trick works, very cumbersome!
But, after importing, the stars are not included.

In addition to the speed, I think PM5 is in this way user unfriendly. (I have 28 test days left)

Hi Jaap,

Well I don't know about cumbersome. For me, if I am using mouse to make my selections, it is actually a smooth flow to also send the images to LR with the mouse.  But everyone works in their own way. :-)


The star ratings transfer for me. Two common things to check is to make sure you have write/edit permissions on the disk where your images are.   Also, go to Preferences  (Cmd-comma)  and under IPTC/XMP Prefs, go to the "Lightning bolt" icon in lower right and click there, selecting "Adobe products" to make sure the metadata settings are lined up between two programs.   There are other issues it could be, so if neither of those are the issue you can contact our Tech Support (Free even if on trial)
