Deleting image from preview

PM6

When I am deleting an image from preview it is automatically returning me to view the full contact sheet, when I used to do this in PM5 it stayed on the preview images.

Is there a preference box that I need to tick or untick to correct this?

No.  It's a bug in PM6 that will be fixed in the next build of PM6.
