Zoom Control Enhancement
« on: May 15, 2025, 05:27:02 PM »
A minor suggestion to enhance the Zoom tool. When I change the zoom control from 1/4 to 1/2 to other levels, I don't really know what zoom level I am at based on the Photo Mechanic window size.

One possibility is to fill the Zoom control to indicate the current zoom level ion the control itself. See the attachment for an example.

That's what the indicator (that you drag to change zoom level) shows.  It points at the current zoom level.  It should be located where the suggested green fill would end.

Is it not doing this for you?

As long as you're not in full screen mode, the title bar of the Preview window lists the percentage of full size that the image is displayed.

I think the request is to see it in one spot.
Sure there is percentage on the top, but that doesn’t correspond with zoom tool in any way.
Maybe having percentages in zoom tool instead of 1/2-1/4 would help.

I find the suggested solution quite interesting, where zoom slider line fills in to show the current zoom level
