Renaming Images

Good morning.  Using the rename function on raw files, I am getting a double .nef at the end of the renamed file. 

For example, if my file name is 'abcd.nef' and I want to add 12345 to the beginning of the file name, I rename as '12345 {filename}' but the result is '12345 abcd.nef. NEF. Could someone please tell me what I am doing wrong?  Thank you.

FileName is the full file name, including the suffix. In this case you should use filenamebase (or fbas for short) instead.
