pm 5 / can't open Z6 files in raw
« on: September 30, 2019, 08:44:03 AM »
Hi Everyone, Just installed Photoshop cc. Using PM 5 (Mac 10.13.6).  Have directed PM to use cc to edit files.  Works fine with jpegs but when I try to open a raw file it is directed to CS 6 which obviously doesn't support my Z6.  Any obvious solutions?  If I drag the raw file into cc directly from the folder, it works fine.  Thanks in advance.

Have you set Photoshop CC as your default editor?  Have you set a custom editor for your NEF files?  Is it also Photoshop CC or is it Photoshop CS6?

Hi Kirk, yes is set CC is my default editor.  Not sure what you mean by "custom editor" for my files.  Yes it is CC.  ///Before when using PS6 a raw file would be opened with no problems and I never set a custom editor.

Hi Kirk,  Sorry, with your help, I sorted it out.  I had not known about the custom editor in preferences and changed the default NEF program to CC.  (Which I am having a difficult time adjusting to.). But thanks for all your support.  Great product.  Jon
