Why are DOP and ON1 Sidecars Shown?
« on: October 04, 2019, 07:21:54 AM »
For those of us in the non-Adobe world, there's a need to see icons for images saved in the native formats of Affinity Photo, ON1photo, Luminar, Aurora HDR,  PhotoLine, et. even they are only PM+ generics. But when PM+ is set to do show those, it also reveals the sidecar files for ON1 Photo RAW (ON1), DxO PhotoLab (DOP) and perhaps other raw converters. The result is a cluttered mess in the contact sheet. Can we get an option to keep these sidecars hidden?

Thanks.

Sounds like you haven't associated .ON1 and .DOP files with your images in Photo Mechanic.  In the annotated photo below, please set the two checkboxes indicated and then those file extensions will be matched up with the corresponding image and they will no longer show up as proxies.  The other benefit is that they will be managed for the purposes of copying/moving/deleting/renaming and uploading.

Thanks for the quick response, Kirk.

The DOP is now hidden, but not the ON1

That sounds like a bug.  We'll look into it.
