Preview for NEF file shows the JPG image
« on: October 21, 2019, 10:01:26 PM »
When viewing a NEF image the preview is that of the JPG. Camera is a Nikon Z6, both NEF's and JPG's are downloaded from the camera. On the 'S' lenses the JPG's are automatically corrected for distortion etc. I'd like to see the "real" NEF file in the preview of the NEF to determine what is needed for correction. Opening the file in Photo Ninja will show this. I've turned the "display RAM & JPG" feature off, cleared the cache, and even deleted the JPG's form the folder but to no avail.

With PM, you view the preview image that is embedded in the raw file. This too has all camera setings applied, including the distortion control. To view the raw data, you'll need to use a raw image editor that does not apply these corrections (automatically).
