mac with catalina not recognizing external hard drive on PM 6

hi. i have a G drive. the finder recognizes the hard drive. bridge did not recognize it until i dragged the PM 6 icon over the bridge cc icon so i can see the folders in the hard drive. photomechanic does not recognize it at all. how can i solve this? thanks. phil

What is a 'G' drive?

One possible problem is the privacy system of Catalina.

You need a checkmark in:  System Preferences / Security & Privacy / Privacy / Files and folders / Photo Mechanic 6.app / Removable Volumes
