Spell checker underlines not showing

Dell XPS15
PM6 4155

Sorry if I'm being dim but I can't see why this is. When I run PM5 it's working perfectly, but in PM6/PM6+ spelling errors are not being highlighted with the squiggly red underline
In preferences>IPTC>Spell check fields is enabled and en-GB selected.
I've tried turning the function off and on again (!)
I can't see anything else I need to select.
Can anyone help?

Are there any misspelled words in your caption?

What would be an example caption that isn't being highlighted properly?

Yes, of course!
I'm looking at the same caption in PM5, which highlights the errors and PM6, which doesn't.
Weirdness on further testing on the same caption: if I make a change to the caption in PM6 and add an error, the newly added error is highlighted, but existing errors remain unhighlighted. Further, if I take a word that is misspelled and not highlighted as such, copy the text and paste it in the same caption field, it DOES highlight the newly pasted erroneous word, but the existing misspelled word remains unhighlighted.
Shall I message you wish some screen grabs or send you the caption template directly or something?

I think it won't be necessary, Joel.  Sounds like it should be easy enough to reproduce.
