Hard drive recognized as source path in Ingest Disk dialogue

I am running Photo Mechanic version 6, build 4851 on Mac Catalina 10.15.6.

I have two 4TB external hard drives plugged into my computer. One is the master and the other is a backup. For some reason, one of the hard drives (the backup) shows up as a disk to ingest. I would prefer that these large volumes do not appear there, and that I only see things that I would actually want to ingest such as a camera memory card. Is this possible?

Yes.  Create a folder on the root of that drive and name it:

PMIngestIgnore

That should do it.  If you don't want to ever see it on the root of your disk, you can name it:

.PMIngestIgnore

and it will be hidden and still make Ingest in Photo Mechanic ignore the disk.
