I'd like to see your Photo Mechanic log.  In Photo Mechanic go to the Help menu and choose "Reveal Support Data..." and moments later a Finder window will come forward with the zipped log file selected.  Use the 'Attachments and other options' link when you're composing your reply to this message and there you'll be able to upload your zipped PM log file.

I just fixed it by renaming the catalog from [Stanley's Photos] to [Stanley Photos]

Interesting!  Thanks for following up.  We'll look into the issue.  Having a single quote/apostrophe in the path shouldn't make any difference (at least we didn't intend for it to be a problem).

When I opened it again today, same problem. Again when I renamed the catalog it worked again. Still a problem.

Each and every time I close and then reopen it will not work for me to open any collections. If I rename the catalog it starts to work.

Some of us are in Portland Oregon, some of us are in southern California.  There is a fire near me but it's mostly out now, not much smoke anymore.  We're all safe.
