Edit Image in Capture One Pro

Hello,
I have not been able to edit an image reviewed in PM Plus in Capture One Pro.  When I click on "Edit with," Capture One does indeed open but the image does not. Is this a C1 issue or have I missed a setting in PM PLus?
Please assist

Addendum: Following some experimentation, I've concluded that C1 has to be open in order for the transfer to take place.  If C1 is closed, clicking on "Edit with" simply opens the software but does not transfer the image, unless C1 is already open on the desktop.

I verified this behavior on my system, too (with C1 set for Catalog).

Although it's an extra step to open C1 in advance, it avoids the messy use of the confusing C1 dialog to find and open a folder just to import a single image, leaving the file management to PM+.
