Unable to catalog external drive

Cannot catalog external hard drive.

MacBook Pro (16-inch, 2019), Catalina 10.15.7, 4 TB NTFS formatted drive, PM Plus Version 6.0, build 5376 (14f9534).

I can browse the disk just fine, but trying to catalog it results in an endless list of error messages:

We'll have to report the error better and not keep retrying.  In order to track a drive, Photo Mechanic Plus needs to write a small file as close to the root of the disk as possible.  Because your disk is read-only, it can't be cataloged.  It would likely work on Windows since that's a native file system on the Windows platform and the disk would be writable.

Just to follow-up: We're exploring a solution to catalogging read-only media, which we hope to include in a future build.
