Sequence Automatically Reset?
« on: May 14, 2006, 06:13:43 AM »
Kirk,

During Ingest/Rename is there a way to have the sequence automatically re-set if there are multiple dates in the files.

I have shots from 2006-05-09 and 2006-05-10, etc on a card.  I have variables set for the rename so that the name changes to reflect the date.  Is there a way to have the sequence automatically re-set to 001 when it gets to the next date, so that when the rename gets to "2006-05-09_200" could the sequence re-set so that when the date changes, it would become "2006-05-10_001" instead of 2006-05-10_201?
Thanks.

No, there is currently no way to do that.  The ability to do this has been requested before.  If we can figure it out, we would add an {autoresetseqn} variable that you would be able to specify the reason for it to reset.  It's a bit tricky however...
