« on: June 23, 2021, 11:51:40 AM »
"error in save as operation message" After the last update I receive this message during the save as operation only when the destination path is my desktop.

I cannot reproduce this error. Please provide more information.

Does this issue go away when reverting to a prior build (available here: http://forums.camerabits.com/index.php?board=15.0)?

What operating system are you on? What are your Save As settings? Does enabling full disk access resolve this?: https://docs.camerabits.com/support/solutions/articles/48001152686-trouble-using-external-drives-with-macos-catalina

I'm using Wndows 10 21H1 build 19043.1081. I haven't problem on my macbook.
I installed the previous version of Photo Mechanic (b.5781) and it works normally, using the same settings (2000px resize, sharpen and SRGB convert, save as destination: Desktop). I reinstalled the new one (b.5820)and the problem still occur.

I'd like to see your Photo Mechanic log.  In Photo Mechanic go to the Help menu and choose "Reveal Support Data..." and moments later a Windows Explorer window will come forward with the zipped log file selected.  Use the 'Attachments and other options' link when you're composing your reply to this message and there you'll be able to upload your zipped PM log file.

Thanks,

-Kirk

I suspect this problem is due to our new code signing certificate that was used to code sign build 5820.  Build 5781 was signed with our old certificate that recently expired.

It takes a while for Microsoft to trust new certificates and it is probably limiting PM's access to certain parts of your computer.
