PM6 Freezes when selecting Preferences etc

I am running Photo Mechanic Version 6.0, build 5820 (a6fdfbc) on Windows 10 pro x64 version 21H1 build 19043.1110  When I select edit/Preferences the program freezes and I have to use Task Manager to exit the program. This also happens with the keyboard shortcut and with anything in the edit/settings menu.
