I have previously suggested adding an item to the file menu called something like "Open Catalogs" which takes one directly to the window where one browses catalogs.
This feature request suggests you do the same for "Open Collections." Both take some knowledge of the application, which a new user may not have, even though the person creating those databases uses regularly and knows where they are. When one opens PM, there is presently no menu item that takes one directly to a catalog or a collection, although now that the PLUS application exists, there will be people out there (perhaps in the same household as the person who uses the application all the time-like my wife) who just wants to sit down and find something in "the catalog" but I have had to make a 10 step process sheet for her to use!!
